The Old Byre is situated in Arrina, a traditional crofting township on the South side of Loch Torridon, on the Coast road from Shieldaig to Applecross. There are stunning views over the loch to Diabaig, Beinn Alligin and Liathach beyond. Arrina or Arinacrinachd, the full Gaelic name as shown on some maps, means 'The Shieling of the Picts' and there is a standing stone close by. It is an ideal base for all types of outdoor pursuits and a peaceful place to enjoy nature and wildlife. Arrina is 10 miles from Shieldaig and 15 miles from Applecross.
